Description:

Nestled on the outskirts of Campbellton, NB, along the Restigouche River’s south shore are two sites about a minute's drive apart. The first site holds three geo-domes overlooking the river and the beautiful forest west of Cross-Point, QC. That’s right—the Restigouche River, in part of New Brunswick, separates both provinces. About a 12-minute drive west of Campbellton, you’ll enjoy rural New Brunswick with dark skies and amazing nature. During the day, there are countless activities to do, such as kayaking, canoeing, hiking, skiing, and fat bike riding for all seasons. You’re also minutes away from Mount Sugarloaf Provincial Park, which also has a ski resort. Winter brings great snowmobiling and access to thousands of trails. This is a fantastic region for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Summer months provide you access to nearby beaches on the Baie des Chaleurs which separates Quebec from Central Northern New Brunswick onward easterly. Beautiful vistas and shorter lines can be enjoyed. The Geo-Domes are so comfortable with pellet stoves, complete kitchenettes, outdoor hot tubs, and an incredibly functional ensuite with a full shower, which is all you’ll need to unwind and reconnect with that special someone. The Island View cottage is also situated on the southern banks of the Restigouche River. Its old-world charm is complemented by modern amenities and accommodations that tastefully blend in without affecting this century-old building’s character and personality! It is perfect for larger family groups or for up to three couples.

A CVA Astro-destination Top Experience

Astro-strengths:

With amazing low horizons to the north and its location in the northernmost region of New Brunswick, an aurora indicator of only KP5 is needed to see the northern lights visually. During the summer months, the Milky Way dances across the tops of the mountains and trees of the southern sky, making it a great location for year-round stargazing.
